Boy Abunda shared what his reaction was when Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla announced that they were no longer together, during a recent interview on Luis Listens, the YouTube talk show of Kapamilya host Luis Manzano.

“The first, again, couple that comes to mind is Daniel and Kathryn. I was shocked. Oo, because during Covid, I did an interview with Daniel,” Tito Boy shared.

He also said that he was not ready for the breakup of an 11-year relationship. Kathryn and Daniel were loveteam partners for about 12 years and their relationship in real life lasted for 11 years.

The veteran TV host shared that he is a KathNiel fan. Then, he recalled what Daniel said to him during their interview amid the pandemic. Tito Boy shared that he remembered the question about betrayal that he asked the Supreme Idol.

In that interview, Luis, tinanong ko si Daniel: what is worse than betrayal? I remember the question. What is worse than betrayal? Ang ganda-ganda ng sagot, ‘yon ang takeaway ko do’n sa pag-uusap na ‘yon. Sabi niya, ‘being forgiven,’” he shared.

Tito Boy also shared that what Daniel said during that interview sparked a conversation between him and his partner. He said that he realized that being forgiven and understood after a mistake was made is even worse than betrayal.

Sabi ko: oo ‘no, come to think about it. So, having come from that interview, akala ko, it was going to go smooth. Hindi pala. It was a misread,” the Fast Talk host said.
