Stray Cats Get New Homes in Subdivision, Praised on Social Media
CAT HOUSE – A subdivision earns praise and admiration from the online community for building small houses for stray cats.
A cat house refers to a small, often specially designed shelter intended for cats to use as a safe and comfortable place to rest, hide, or take refuge. These can be used for both domestic and stray cats, providing them protection from harsh weather conditions like extreme heat, rain, or cold.
Typically, it has insulated walls to protect against cold weather, covered roofs to keep rain and sunlight out, raised floors to prevent moisture from the ground from seeping in, and ventilation to ensure fresh air circulation.
Recently, the Facebook page John Wood Works shared photos of small houses built for stray cats in the area. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media and garnered various reactions from internet users.
The uploader shared the project with great excitement as these shelters provide a safe place for the cats during hot weather or rain.
The post revealed that a kind-hearted individual commissioned the small houses specifically for stray cats. Reginald John Merza Payos, the owner of John Wood Works, shared that he was tasked with making two outdoor houses for the cats in a subdivision in Parañaque City.
“Sobrang Excited talaga ako ipost to. Pinagawa ito ni mam para sa mga stray cats para may masilungan sila pag mainit at maulan . Napakabait nyo mam superr maraming salamat po, Outdoor Cathouse,” Payos said.
Payos explained that the project was important to him because he also cared for stray cats. He currently looks after three stray cats himself. It took him two weeks to complete the so-called “Cat Homes.”
“Naisip ko na kung magagawa ko po iyon nang maayos, malaking tulong po sa stray cats sa lugar nila ma’am. May masisilungan na po sila kahit papaano,” he explained.
