Pageant fans are excited about the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Preliminary Competition which is set to happen this weekend.
Filipinos are known for being avid pageant fans. This is the reason why even the smallest barangay or barrio in the Philippines has its own beauty pageant. In the history of pageantry worldwide, beauty queens representing the Philippines made a great record.
MUPH has become one of the most prominent national pageants in the country. The reigning MUPH queen is Michelle Dee who was able to enter the Top 10 when she competed at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant held in El Salvador.
Miss Universe Philippines 2024 candidates are set to showcase their beauty, grace, and poise by wearing swimwear and evening gowns for the preliminary competition which will be held on Sunday, May 19, at 7 in the evening, in the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel. There are 53 candidates from different parts of the Philippines vying for the highest title this year.
The preliminary competition will be hosted by outgoing titleholder Michelle Marquez Dee and actor Marco Gumabao.
Based on the article in The Philippine Star, through the preliminary competitions, the judges will score the ladies and the highest will proceed to theĀ semi-final round. Among the semifinalists, they will choose the top winners of the various challenges leading to the final show.
In a post shared on the official Instagram page of Miss Universe Philippines, the pageant organization asked, “PILIPINAS! Who will rise to the top of the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines Preliminary Competition?”
The coronation night is set to happen on May 22 at the SM MOA Arena and this will be hosted by Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards and Miss UniverseĀ 2022 R’bonney Gabriel. They will be joined by actress Gabbi Garcia and events host Tim Yap.
