Kathryn Bernardo Nominated for FAMAS & Urian Best Actress Awards
KATHRYN BERNARDO – The young actress is nominated for the FAMAS Best Actress award in which Sharon Cuneta, Maricel Soriano, and some A-list actresses are also nominees.
Kathryn is one of the most brilliant actresses in the Philippine showbiz industry. She recently received a Box Office Queen award for her film “A Very Good Girl” which she starred alongside Dolly de Leon.
In the said movie, Kathryn played the character of Philomena “Philo” Angeles or Mercedes “Mercy” Novela who is in the pursuit of revenge against the character of Dolly for what happened to her mother. It is a black comedy thriller film directed by Petersen Vargas.
Min Bernardo, Kathryn’s mom, is proud of the actress and grateful to her for the award which she considered “a very good gift for Mother’s Day”. Meanwhile, aside from the Box Office Queen award, the young actress is also nominated for two (2) other big awards.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Kathryn Bernardo is nominated for FAMAS Best Actress award for her role in A Very Good Girl. She is contending against some of the biggest stars in the industry including Sharon Cuneta for “Family of Two” and Maricel Soriano for “In His Mother’s Eyes” for the award.
Aside from Kathryn, Sharon, and Maricel, other A-list actresses who have been nominated for FAMAS Best Actress award are Charlie Dizon for “Third World Romance”, Marian Rivera for “Rewind”, and Eugene Domingo for “Becky & Badette”.
Based on the report, for the Gawad Urian Best Actress award, other nominees aside from Kathryn Bernardo are Gabby Padilla for “Gitling”, Charlie Dizon for “Third World Romance”, and Max Eigenmann for “Raging Grace”.
Kathryn is “super grateful” for the nominations. According to the young actress, when she saw the nominations, it did not sink in to her right away until her producer messaged her.
“That’s a first time so I’m not expecting anything actually kahit nomination lang hindi ko ineexpect so I’m just really grateful so win or lose deserve din other nominees yun,” the actress said.
The 72nd FAMAS Awards Ceremony will be held on May 26, 2024 at the Fiesta Pavilion of Manila Hotel. The 47th Gawad Urian Awards is set on June 8, 2024 at De La Salle University.
