Stell Ajero‘s most recent solo stint received a warm response not just from his fans but also from the people who saw him for the first time.

In an interview after the concert, based on the article in Inquirer, Stell shared what he learned from Maestro Ryan Cayabyab. “Kahit sabihin nating I’m a part of SB19, but I’m here alone. Dala ko ang buong group at ang buong team with me,” the singer said.

Stell also admitted he felt the pressure knowing that he would be performing with amazing artists in the music scene. Despite this, he can say that he is proud of himself.

Proud ako sa sarili ko kasi never ko na-imagine na magkakaroon ng ganitong opportunity. Never ko na-imagine na maisip ni Mr. C na kunin ako, or mag-perform ng mga gawa niya,” he shared.

The singer also shared that it was the Maestro who chose the song Sometime, Somewhere for him to perform. He was told by Mr. C to stay true to himself and his performance.

Ang pinakanatutunan ko kay Mr. C is to be your own self. Huwag ko raw isipin na dapat gawin ko siya kung paano ko siya napanood or inaral. Kung anong emosyon ang na-feel mo or paano mo siya gustong i-deliver, that’s your own story. It’s your own experience. Kailangan mong ipakita ang rawness mo,” Stell said.

He also shared what it was like working with Mr. C. Stell said that he met the music icon, he was inspired not to feel afraid. The singer pointed out that if he gave in to his fear and made a mistake, it would be his regret forever. He just enjoyed the moment.

Stell Ajero shared that when he saw Ryan Cayabyab smiling, the nervousness he felt was gone and he enjoyed the performance.

When asked about his wish for OPM, the SB19 member said, “Ang winiwish ko is umingay pa at mas suportahan pa. Kasi sabi nila, ito ang time nating mas makilala ‘yung Pinoy dahil alam natin na ang mga Pinoy ay napakatalented.”
