Dingdong Dantes renews his contract with the Kapuso network
Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes recalled the first time he stepped on stage in GMA Network.
Dingdong has been in the entertainment industry for many years now. From being a member of the 90s dance group Abztract Dancers, he was able to transition into one of the most sought-after leading men.
Eventually, Dingdong ventured into hosting and directing. Years after he started his career in showbiz, his star continued to shine.
In a recent contract signing event, based on the article in Inquirer, Dingdong Dantes recalled the first time he was given a chance to perform on national television. He will never forget this first in his life.
“After reflecting on the things that happened sa aking buhay, [ang] isa talaga sa pinaka-memorable na tumatatak sa akin ngayon ay ‘yung unang-unang beses na sumampa ako sa entablado. ‘Yun ay nung nag-uumpisa ako bilang dancer dito sa GMA [which was] around 1996, 1997,” the Kapuso Primetime King recalled.
He shared that it was memorable for him because he was just 16 or 17 years old back then. At that time, Dingdong admitted that he was not fully aware yet of what he was going to do in his life. He has not yet decided what career he will push through back then.
Remembering his beginnings in showbiz makes him happy. He felt a certain joy when he was performing in front of an audience who appreciated what he did.
“Ang sarap pala ng pakiramdam na meron kang stage, meron kang platform to do what you love,” the award-winning actor shared.
From that first appearance, a lot of opportunities in showbiz opened for him. for TV projects and movie projects as well. “Nagbukas ang iba pang pinto sa pagiging isang family man, ang dami pong mga pintuan at chapters na nagbukas,” he added.
Dingdong Dantes also expressed gratitude for his home network which helped him show the path that he wants to take. GMA helped him realize the dream that he had and helped him achieve it.
