SB19 worked with Ian Asher and Terry Zhong on this trendy beat

PPop Kings SB19 released their new song Moonlight and they talked about their experience working with US-based music producer Ian Asher and Chinese electronic producer Terry Zhong.

On May 3, A’TIN, the quintet’s fandom experienced a new sound from them. The group, consisting of Paulo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, has been teasing this new song for a week now and fans went frenzy on social media when it was finally released.

Based on the article in Inquirer, SB19 shared in a press release how this collaboration with Asher and Zhong started. “We’ve met Ian Asher during our tour in the US, and we were surprised at how talented and prolific he is at such a young age,” the PPop Kings shared.

The group also said that this genre is new to them and through this, they are able to expand their horizon. In past releases, they explored mainly the pop genre with a bit of rock and EDM. They also released heartfelt ballads and in their Pagtatag EP in which their viral Gento was included, they included one RnB song.

“This kind of music is new to us. The production is very current yet experimental, but it also gives us room to explore and expand our horizons as artists,” the group said.

They also said that this collaboration “brought out the best of all words” and “being part of the process really opened our creative realm to exciting new possibilities.”

Following the music release, fans are now anticipating the release of the official music video on the same day, 7 PM. Justin, the fourth member to release a solo song, is the creative director of the music video.

“The song has euphoric undertones lyrics-wise, so I wanted to play around with that concept and inject a little bit of craziness and out-of-this-world treatment,” the youngest member of SB19 said.

Justin added that they had a simple and minimalist take in this music video. However, he said that the dance choreography took the visuals to a higher notch. “I can’t really explain the concept without revealing too much. I’m just excited that this MV is in a totally different lane from anything that we’ve done in the past,” he said.
