Yael Yuzon Explores ‘Queen of Tears’ Filming Sites in South Korea for Latest Music Video

YAEL YUZON – Sponge Cola vocalist Yael Yuzon explored the shooting locations of the hit series ‘Queen of Tears’ in South Korea for his latest music video.

“Queen of Tears” is currently the most popular K-drama streaming on Netflix. According to Netflix, it has consistently held a position in the Top 10 TV charts in the Philippines for five consecutive weeks and has also ranked well in TV charts in 40 other countries.

Additionally, it has surpassed “Goblin” to become the second highest-rated romance drama series on South Korean TV network tvN, with an impressive average nationwide rating of 20.7%. However, “Crash Landing on You” still maintains its position at the top.

Starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, “Queen of Tears” revolves around the story of Hong Hae In, a third-generation chaebol heiress of Queens Group, and her husband Baek Hyun Woo, who is a lawyer and the legal director of the company. The series delves into their troubled marriage, teetering on the brink of divorce.

The finale episode of “Queen of Tears” is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on April 28th.

Sponge Cola frontman Yael Yuzon recently traveled to South Korea to film a music video for an upcoming song inspired by the popular K-drama “Queen of Tears.” The singer-songwriter shared glimpses of his visit to the drama’s filming locations on Instagram.

The reel features Yael exploring various tourist spots, including a restaurant, a batting center, and a hill offering a picturesque sunset view. Yael described the forthcoming song, titled “Tatlong Buwan,” as a “labor of love” stemming from his admiration for the series.

Yael Yuzon mentioned that the inspiration struck after watching episode 10 of “Queen of Tears,” prompting him to swiftly organize the shoot for the music video in Korea.

Expressing his emotional connection to the series, Yael explained that the song was born out of a profound need for catharsis, reflecting the moving impact of the show on him.

“Tatlong Buwan” is scheduled for release on April 24 across all major music platforms.
