Vic Sotto was asked about his future movie projects
Veteran comedian-host Bossing Vic Sotto has this statement on the possibility of working with It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda.
Vic has become a pillar of comedy in the Philippine entertainment industry. Over the years, his movies as part of the Metro Manila Film Festival have become blockbuster hits. In a recent interview, the Eat Bulaga host was asked if he would have a movie entry for the 50th anniversary of the film festival.
Vic is one of the popular actors during the film festival which falls during the holiday season. Based on the article in The Philippine Star, Vic had a short answer to this question about the MMFF this year.
“Surprise,” Vic Sotto answered. Then, he was asked by a reporter if he would make a different entry and not another Enteng Kabisote movie. Vic did not say anything about this.
The veteran comedian-host was also asked if he is willing to do a movie with Vice Ganda since he has been doing crossover films. He said that he is not choosy when it comes to people he work with.
“It’s not impossible. Pero siguro in the future, why not? Wala akong pinipili,” Vic answered. Back in 2019, Vic and Vice’s movies were rivals for the MMFF. At that time, the veteran comedian-host already expressed that he was open to working with anyone, and that included Vice.
Meanwhile, Vic addressed the alleged issue that their Eat Bulaga show had with It’s Showtime. Bossing echoed what his fellow host Henyo Master Joey de Leon said that the Kapamilya noontime show is not their enemy.
Vic said that they have a different “kaaway.” He stressed that competition and rivalry between two shows are just normal but they never considered It’s Showtime as their enemy.
