Seasoned comedian Michael V shared a thank you post amid the speculations that his long-running Kapuso sitcom Pepito Manaloto will have its finale.

The sitcom first aired in March 2010. It had a season break during the height of the pandemic in 2021. Pepito Manaloto returned in 2022. This show became part of many Filipino lives from all ages and walks of life.

Just recently, rumors surfaced that the show is ending, based on the article in Inquirer. The speculations were hyped up by the post that Bitoy shared on Facebook. It featured a photo of the cast members having their group hug. This post came with the song Not Goodbye by Colton Dixon as background music.

In his post, Michael V wrote that Pepito Manaloto is more than just a fictional family on TV. He said that they are a true family behind the camera, from the cast to all the people in the production team, and also the network and its audience.

“Maraming, maraming salamat po sa oras at pagmamahal ninyong lahat,” the Kapuso comedian wrote. He did not state the purpose of this post and netizens who commented on this could not help but share their emotional reactions.

Based on the report, before Michael V shared this post, the GMA network was asked to comment on the rumored finale of Pepito Manaloto but the media company said that there was no official statement yet on this matter.
