Cassy Legaspi Sets Record Straight After Intriguing Posts

Following the intriguing posts, this is what Cassy Legaspi has to say.

Cassy Legaspi has this statement following the commotion that started after Darren Espanto made some clarifications.

Previously, singer-host Darren Espanto set the record straight on the real score between him and Kapuso star Cassy Legaspi. In a report, Espanto clarified that he and the TV hostare just best friends.

“Makulit sila! Sabi ko best friends lang kami eh,” Darren said. He also added, “Best friends talaga. It’s something a lot of people won’t get. Hindi ko alam paano explain pero syempre andun ‘yung pagmamahal namin sa isa’t isa.”

Following this clarification from the Kapamilya star, many got intrigued because of the posts of Cassy and her mother Carmina Villaroel. The posts were cryptic enough to get the attention of many people.

“Don’t expect the same in return,” says Carmina in one of her posts while Cassy shared Olivia Rodrigo’s “Favorite Crime”. The younger star also shared a lyric from Russ’ “Ain’t Nobody Takin My Baby” about how “hurt people hurt people”.

This made some fans speculate that it was about her close friend and then-rumored boyfriend who said that they were just best friends. After Espanto’s clarification, she also echoed the same revelation when she was asked just recently in an interview.

According to Cassy, they are really just best friends. She added that her posts are not directed to anyone. It just so happened that she felt like posting those songs at that time and unexpectedly, people online made assumptions just by those simple posts.

To recall, this is not the first time that Cassy and Darren said that there is really nothing romantic going on between them. They have always said this prior to the occurrence of the recent issue.

Her twin Mavy Legaspi also defended their mother’s cryptic posts. He quipped, “Ang daming nag-a-assume lang. Kaya si Mama lang, she just posts whatever she wants to post. Kasi it’s nothing related to whatever cases na nangyayari sa social media.”
