The frontal system will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Batanes.

“Dito sa may bahagi ng Batanes, posibleng medyo maulap ang kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at pagkulog dulot naman ng frontal system – ‘yung banggaan ng mainit at malamig na hangin na malapit sa may bahagi naman ng Japan,” Badrina said.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Visayas, Palawan, including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Similar weather condition is expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

No tropical cyclones were observed inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility until the end of the week. The chance of forming a tropical cyclone near the country’s vicinity is low.

The weather bureau reported that the heat index in Metro Manila may reach 40 degrees Celsius at the NAIA, Pasay City station, and 41 degrees Celsius at the Science Garden in Quezon City.

The weather agency advised the public to observe precautionary measures as some people may experience heat cramps and heat exhaustion due to the scorching heat, which may lead to heat stroke.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over northern and western sections of Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.

PAGASA did not raise a gale warning in any parts of the country.
