Good Samaritan Helps Elderly Man Who Suffered Stroke Inside Public Bus
An elderly man reportedly suffered a stroke inside a public bus headed towards Tacurong, but kind-hearted passengers came to his rescue.
Nowadays, acts of kindness and compassion are often rare but deeply appreciated. The willingness of strangers to come together and assist someone in distress displays the kindness that still exists in society.
Recently, Verna-Lynne Venezuela-Baysac, a Facebook user, shared a video of a senior citizen who had a stroke inside a bus headed toward Tacurong. The video immediately spread like wildfire on social media and elicited reactions from the online community.
In the video, Baysac is seen calling the attention of those who personally know the elderly man. She urged the victim’s family to contact her and assist the old man. Without delay, the concerned commuters quickly brought the patient to the nearest health facility for immediate medical attention.
The lady passenger informed the personnel at Arturo King Medical Center about the medical emergency. The elderly victim, identified as Emerensiano Gablines, had bleeding from his mouth and nose.
The Good Samaritan voluntarily accompanied the grandpa to the hospital while waiting for the victim’s family or relatives. The health personnel immediately applied first aid and treated the patient.
After a few moments, the grandpa regained consciousness and was able to move several parts of his body, but he still needed some time to recover.
The compassionate woman even processed the necessary documents needed for the elderly passenger’s medical treatment. However, there were no further updates given regarding the patient’s current condition.
The incident serves as an important reminder of the importance of extending a helping hand to those in need, regardless of whether we know them personally or not.
