Derrick Monasterio guested on It’s Showtime
Kapuso actor Derrick Monasterio recalled the time when had workshops in ABS-CBN before he transferred to GMA.
Derrick is known as one of the Kapuso hunk actors. Under GMA’s management, he appeared on different shows and showbiz projects. The Kapuso actor guested on the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime.
After the Kapamilya noontime show signed a contract with the Kapuso network, GMA artists can now freely join the show for Madlang People. On its first airing on GMA, It’s Showtime welcomed Kapuso stars like Sanya Lopez and Jillian Ward who enjoyed their guesting.
On April 9, Derrick Monasterio became a trending topic on X, formerly known as Twitter. It is because of his guesting on It’s Showtime. The actor had a song performance and netizens admired his voice.
After his performance, he was joined by the hosts. During the interview, the Kapuso actor revealed that years ago, he attended workshops in the Kapamilya network, based on the article in ABS-CBN News. He was just 14 years old back then.
“Nakaka-miss din pala ang ABS-CBN hallways kasi nung bata ako, dito ako nagwo-workshop,” Derrick said. He also shared that being in the Kapamilya noontime show gave him an overwhelming.
“Grabe, parang panaginip kasi honestly dati pinapanood ko lang talaga ‘yung ‘Showtime’ lalo na ‘pag lumalabas sa Facebook. Favorite ko ‘yung Tawag Ng Tanghalan, ang ganda,” he said.
Meanwhile, aside from Derrick Monasterio’s blooming career, his love life is also blooming. The actor is happily in love with Kapuso star Elle Villanueva. Last Valentine’s Day, the actor shared his work-love balance with the special girl in his life. “I dont know how we do it, but everything is falling into place. Happy Valentines my everyday valentine, love you more than ever,” he wrote in the caption of his post. Elle had a sweet reply to this. “My favorite person in the world love you my deedee,” she wrote.
