Max Collins shared what she did before “sampalan” scenes with Marian Rivera
Kapuso actress Max Collins said that people will surely be entertained by her “kontrabida” role in the new series My Guardian Alien featuring Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera.
Max has done several series but it is her first time doing an antagonist role. She will be the main enemy of Marian’s character in the said series. In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Max was asked if it was difficult for her to bring misery to the life of Marian’s character.
The actress said that she did not have a hard time being a “kontrabida” because she is professional and it is her job to deliver what her character requires her to do.
“Hindi po ako nahirapan kasi professional po ako, and I love my job as an actress,” Max Collins said. She also shared that before doing a confrontational or “sampalan” scene with Marian Rivera, she would ask for her co-star’s permission.
“It’s my job, and it’s been fun kasi nag-uusap kami beforehand, e, before the scene. Talagang like, ‘Okay ba na sampalin kita?’ Ganun, ‘Okay ba na saktan kita?’” Max shared. After having Marian’s permission, then, Max will go on with the scene.
Talking about her “kontrabida” character Venus, Max is optimistic that the viewers will love her. She shared that she enjoyed portraying the character in a family drama that is not so heavy. Although she is the antagonist in the series, her character also features a funny side.
She said, “It’s nice kasi kahit na kontrabida yung role ko dito, parang there’s a lightness, I think, or humor to my character, in a sense, where sa sobrang arte ni Venus, I feel like magugustuhan siya ng mga tao kasi ma-e-entertain sila.”
Before laughing, the actress said, “Ma-e-entertain kayo sa performance ko.” She stressed that viewers will definitely see a different Max. Although her character would maltreat Marian’s character, it is forgiving. The actress also explained that the anger that her character has came from a deep background.
Max Collins added that her and Marian Rivera’s “fighting scenes” were done in a hilarious way.
