The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Zamboanga del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over the entire Visayas, Palawan, including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country.

With 41 degrees Celsius at the NAIA station in Pasay City and 39 degrees Celsius at the Science Garden in Quezon City on Thursday, the heat index in Metro Manila is higher than usual.

The public is encouraged to exercise extreme caution based on the heat index chart, since prolonged physical exertion may result in heat stroke and some people may endure cramps and heat exhaustion.

When relative humidity has been taken into consideration, the heat index provides an accurate measurement of the actual temperature at a given place.

The weather agency also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon and the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate. PAGASA did not raise a gale warning in any parts of the country.
