Marian Rivera has taken on a number of memorable television roles throughout her career. Every project is special and memorable but when she settled down, she lied low in her showbiz career and put most of her focus to the most important role she was given – being a mother.

She and her husband Dingdong Dantes have two children namely Zia and Sixto.

Marian is going to have a comeback on television entitled “My Guardian Alien”. However, before we witness the story of this series, here’s a look back to some of the most iconic roles the actress did in the past:

  1. “Marimar” (2007) – The actress plays the titular role and this is the series that born the successful love team between her and her husband now.
  2. “Dyesebel” (2008) – Rivera also plays the titular role. This is a fantasy series based on a Philippine graphic novel of the same title by Mars Ravelo. 
  3. “Darna” (2009) – This famous and iconic superheroine character has been portrayed by several actresses and among those with the most successful run is the adaptation where Rivera is on the lead. This was directed by Dominic Zapata and Done Michael Perez.
  4. “Amaya” (2011) – She stars in the title role and it tells a story set in a pre-colonial period. This had a total of 165 episodes. This is another series where the actress played the titular role. Amaya is a “binukot” or a hidden princess.
  5. “Endless Love” (2010) – This is the Philippine adaptation of the 2000 South Korean television series, Autumn in My Heart which was directed by Mac Alejandre and Andoy Ranay.
  6. “Temptation of Wife” (2013) – Another PH adaptation of a South Korean series of the same title. Rivera worked with other stars such as Dennis Trillo, Glaiza De Castro, and Rafael Rosell.
