On Holy Thursday (March 30, 2024), an attempted burglary was caught on camera at a café in Novaliches, Quezon City. The incident took place in Barangay Sta. Monica.
According to CCTV footage, two suspects were seen entering the café from the rear entrance. Their intention was to break into a safe within the establishment. The suspects initially struggled to open the safe, prompting them to retrieve a crowbar from a nearby toolbox.
Despite their efforts, they were unsuccessful in gaining access to the safe. Faced with this setback, the suspects decided to steal a speaker and two helmets from the counter instead.
However, a security guard from a neighboring establishment noticed their illegal activity, causing the suspects to escape promptly.
In their hurry to escape, the suspects left behind the stolen items, including the speaker and helmets, but managed to escape with only the crowbar.
