APRIL 2024 LONG WEEKENDS – Here is a guide on the holidays this month and the possibility of an extended weekend.

Undeniably, a huge part of the population awaits the weekends every time. In most cases, Saturdays and Sundays are the rest days of many people and the time to do the household chores and spend some time with family and friends. However, in many cases, two (2) days is short for an out-of-town trip to be with loved ones.

Thus, many people await the long weekends to plot that much-awaited short vacation in another time or just an extended hotel staycation. Long weekends happen when a holiday falls on a Friday or Monday.

In 2023, there were several long weekends throughout the year. Are there April 2024 long weekends? While there is not a direct long weekend this month, there is a way for you to have an extended weekend – in fact, a very extended one.

This month of April, there is only one (1) holiday which is on April 9, the Day of Valor or Araw ng Kagitingan. However, it falls on a Tuesday. Meanwhile, for employees who have remaining paid leaves, you can book your leave on a Monday for a very extended weekend.
