PAGASA Says Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies will bring scattered rains over the eastern section of the country.
On Tuesday (March 26, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja reported that easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers over the eastern section of the country. Generally, fair weather nationwide will prevail during the Holy Week.
The easterlies will bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, and Quezon.
“Ngayong araw asahan ang makulimlim na panahon sa ilang bahagi ng Southern Luzon kabilang na ang malaking bahagi ng Bicol Region, as well as, Quezon. Sa natitirang bahagi ng Southern Luzon bahagyang maulap hanggang minsan maulap na kalangitan simula sa umaga dito sa Rizal, Laguna at ilang bahagi ng Marinduque,” Estareja said.
The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather conditions.
“Pagsapit ng tanghali medyo hanggang gabi ay medyo kukulimlim din po ang panahon dito sa Central Luzon, Metro Manila, west of Calabarzon at dito rin sa Mimaropa,” he added.
The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the northern and eastern sections of the country will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
PAGASA did not raise a gale warning in any parts of the country. No weather disturbance or low-pressure area is expected to enter the country’s area of responsibility for the rest of the week.
