Kapamilya actor Paulo Avelino has this reaction to comment that he is more handsome than Korean star Park Seo Joon.

Paulo is the leading man of Chinita Princess Kim Chiu in the Pinoy version of the hit K-drama series What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim. He portrayed the character of a company’s Vice Chairman who possesses exceeding confidence.

Paulo’s character has a very efficient secretary played by Kim who plans to resign. While the transition period is happening between Secretary Kim and the new secretary, romance sparked between the two leads.

In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Paulo Avelino was asked about the noticeable onscreen chemistry that he and Kim Chiu have. He said that romantic comedy is indeed Kim’s forte and this one is different from the rom-coms she did before.

The actor said that in WWWSK, Kim is more subdued and more mature, and the viewers will see this.

Then, the Kapamilya actor was asked to react to the comments on social media that he is “mas gwapo” than the original actor in the series. “Hindi naman,” Paulo laughingly said.

“But, I’ve seen the side-by-side kasi minsan we do that sa set. Minsan may mga iconic scene na I’m sure hahanapin ng mga fan ng mga What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,” he shared.

When asked if he feels more handsome than Park Seo Joon after the side-by-side comparison, Paulo Aveino said again, “Hindi naman, hindi naman.”

Meanwhile, the Kapamilya star is happy to do a different project from what he has done before. It is his first time doing a romantic comedy series. He pointed out the importance of not staying in a box when it comes to the projects that he does.

“I always say nga that I don’t want to box myself with one specific genre. It’s always a blessing when I get to tackle different characters,” he said, adding that he has been expressive in past interviews that he wants to do something different.
