DJ Hits Back at Shaira Moro’s Critics Over Copyright Issue of the Hit Song “Selos”
DJ hits back at the bashers of internet sensation Shaira Moro because of the copyright issue surrounding her hit song “Selos.”
Over the past few days, the rising singer Shaira Moro has been one of the most controversial personalities online after her hit song “Selos” was removed from streaming platforms due to a copyright infringement issue.
Australian singer Lenka takes legal action against Shair for allegedly using the melody of her song “Trouble Is a Friend.” AHS Channel voluntarily took down the song during the legal proceedings.
Recently, DJ Charles Remixe, a Facebook user, voiced out his thoughts after facing backlash from netizens over the copyright issue surrounding Shaira Moro’s song “Selos.” His post quickly went viral, garnering various reactions online.
The content creator lambasted the critics, questioning whether they also sought permission from Shaira and AHS Channel when using the song in memes and vlogs circulating on Facebook. According to DJ Charles, they didn’t interfere or speak out against those who used Shaira’s song without permission.
He expressed surprise that ordinary people were dragging them down, suggesting he could understand if major networks like ABS-CBN or GMA had concerns, but finding fault with ordinary citizens was beyond his understanding.
The digital creator expressed disappointment, observing that fellow Filipinos were dragging each other down.
He also criticized those condemning copying and stealing, questioning whether they themselves had never copied anything since birth. He joked that if they refrained from copying, they might have become scientists by now.
DJ Charles clarified that they didn’t steal the beat, arguing that if it were stolen, then they Lenka have been taken too.
