Famous personalities who cried Justice For Killua, the golden retriever.
JUSTICE FOR KILLUA – More and more celebrities are reacting and expressing their sadness over the sad fate of Killua.
The cruel ending of Killua, the golden retriever, broke many hearts. A lot of people slammed the cruel act of Anthony Solares. It was seen in a CCTV recording that he was chasing the dog across the street as he was hitting the animal and even went on chasing the dog and hurting it even though it was already running away from him.
In a previous article, Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo reacted to Killua’s case. Her heart breaks for the cruelty the dog received. It felt her bad to imagine the fate of the helpless animal in the hands of the man.
Apart from Geronimo, other celebrities also cried justice for the golden retriever.
Carla Abellana rallied: “#JusticeForKillua will be given soon. You’ll see.”
The Kapuso actress is a known animal advocate and she condemns all acts of cruelty to all animals.
Chie Filomeno expressed, “I just saw everything… Nadurog ang puso ko…” while Janella Salvador expressed, “People don’t deserve animals. Ang sakit sakit sa puso. These psychos better end up in jail.”
TV host Kim Atienza was also in disbelief to what happened to the golden retriever which, according to him, is the most gentle breed. He wrote, “Golden retrievers are the most gentle of dog breeds. The perpetrator’s claim that Killua was attacking his family is highly unlikely. Dog cruelty happens more often than we think, lalo na sa Aspin. Rest well Killua.”
The man who was seen in the CCTV admitted that he was the one who did it to the dog claiming that what he did was an act of self-defense. However, in an update, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) asserted that it was not self-defense.
“The animal offender claims that this was an act of self-defense but video evidence shows that Killua, the dog, was being chased by him and none of the elements of self-defense were present,” PAWS said.
It added that there are humane ways of dealing with this matter and he could have called the right authorities in handling this situation. PAWS furthered that there was no reason for Killua to be slayed in this manner.
What happened “extremely upset and dismayed” and PAWS will make sure that the man will be held accountable. They will file charges of violation of the Animal Welfare Act against Solares.
