PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (March 19, 2024)

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that generally fair weather condition is expected over most parts of the country.

On Tuesday (March 19, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Grace Castañeda reported that easterlies will bring cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms over parts of the country. Generally fair weather conditions with the possibility of isolated rain showers over Luzon and Metro Manila.

“Para sa magiging lagay ng panahon ngayong araw ng Martes ang buong bahagi ng Luzon kasama ang Metro Manila ay makararanas ng generally fair weather conditions maliban na lang yan sa mga tiyansa pa rin ng isolated o yung mga biglaan o mga panandaliang pag-ulan pag-kidlat at pag-kulog dulot ng localized thunderstorms,” said Castañeda.

The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over Visayas, Palawan, including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience the same weather with chances of light to moderate rain showers due to the effects of localized thunderstorms.

The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon and the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.

No low-pressure or any weather disturbance is expected to enter the country’s area of responsibility for the rest of the week.
