Xyriel Manabat talked about her relationship with her non-showbiz boyfriend
Kapamilya young actress Xyriel Manabat revealed that her non-showbiz boyfriend Nathaniel Toleda became close to her Senior High co-stars.
Xyriel started her career in the entertainment industry and she chose to have showbiz hiatus to focus on her personal life. When she decided to make her showbiz comeback, the actress received her boyfriend’s full support.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PUSH, Xyriel shared that she and Nathaniel are childhood friends and they had been neighbors since she was a young girl.
The actress admitted that there was awkwardness at first when they decided to level up from friendship to having a relationship with each other.
βNagtanong po siya if pwede manligaw. Itβs awkward kasi yung una hindi namin alam kung magiging sweet ba kami sa isaβt isa or as is na parang magbest friend. Parang hindi kami sanay ng may call sign, hindi kami sana na mag-I love you sa isaβt isa. Parang ang awkward noong una. Sobrang tagal bago mawala yung awkwardness and ilangan,βΒ the actress shared.
They have been together as a couple for two years now. Xyriel shared that Nathaniel would go with her during shoots and this became a reason why the latter became close to other stars of Senior High.
The actress revealed that her boyfriend is close to Elijah Canlas. “Ako yung minsan na-out of place. Mas mauuna pa siyang ikiss nina Elijah bago ko siya makiss. Halimbawa bago ko siya mabati ng βOy nandito ka palaβ, mauuna nila malaman. Sila muna yung magyayakap,” she enthused.
In an apparent joking way, she said that she would feel irritated every time she would see the sweetness between Nathaniel and Elijah. Aside from the award-winning actor, her boyfriend is also close to her other male co-stars such as JK Labajo, Kyle Echarri, and Zaijian Jaranilla.
Xyriel Manabat shared that there were times when her male co-stars would tell her to bring Nathaniel to their bonding activities, events, and gatherings. The actress also said that people perceiving that her boyfriend is jealous were mistaken because it is the other way around.
“Baliktad. Ako yung threatened,” she enthused.
