Willie Revillame TV Comeback Confirmed, Wowowin To Air On TV5

Willie Revillame signed a contract with TV5

Veteran TV host Willie Revillame is set to have his television comeback and his Wowowin show will air on TV5.

This is not the first time that Willie had a deal with the Kapatid network. Before his show aired on GMA, he was with TV5. Eventually, the veteran TV host decided to transfer to ALLTV. However, that stint on the TV network owned by billionaire businessman Manny Villar did not last long.

Last year, rumors circulated that Willie was negotiating with government-owned TV networks IBC and PTV. However, their negotiation apparently did not come to fruition.

After over a year of waiting, Willie Revillame will have his TV comeback. Based on the article in PEP, it is confirmed that the veteran host signed a contract with TV5 where his Wowowin show will be aired.

The Kapatid network was his home from 2010 to 2013 where his former shows Willing Willie, WillTime Bigtime, and Wowowillie aired.

Atty. Enrique “Buko” dela Cruz, one of Willie’s legal counsels, shared this good news for the show on his recent social media post. In the photo, Willie and his lawyer were with TV executives Mediaquest and CignalTV president Jane Basas, TV5 president Guido Zaballero, and Mediaquest chief finance officer John Andal. “Wowowee sa TV5???” the caption of the post stated.

This good news was also shared on the official Facebook page of Wowowin. “Breaking News! Mga Big Boss ng TV5 at si Kuya Wil, nagkita!” the caption of the post stated.

PEP’s writer Jojo Gabinete shared that based on the information given to them, the show will still use the Wowowin title. It was rumored that this will air after the time slot of Eat Bulaga. TV5 has not released a statement on this but it was rumored that Willie Revillame’s show will start in April this year.
