Woman Travels Overseas to Surprise Her Long-Time Best Friend
A woman captured the hearts of netizens for traveling overseas to surprise her long-time best friend for a “face-to-face chika”.

Recently, a TikTok user Hurt Evangelista shared a heartwarming video of his best friend, Teresa Guanio who traveled abroad to meet him. The video immediately circulated online and garnered reactions from netizens.
Guanio has decided to book a flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to visit her long-time best friend because she missed him. Evangelista is currently working as an Overseas Filipino Worker in Malaysia.
Teresa wanted to share countless stories with her best friend in person. The two have been friends since 2016, and despite the distance, they have managed to stay connected through regular phone calls ever since he started working abroad in late 2023.
“Hobby na aming ang chismis. I even stayed in her house in Pasig during the pandemic days because I was not able to go back home to Isabela. Kinupkup nila ako. Almost every day may chismis, either good or bad,” Evangelista said.
Expressing gratitude for his friend’s thoughtful gesture, Evangelista praised Guanio’s determination to see him. He shared their plans to explore more of Malaysia together and even have a side trip to Singapore.
“I actually loved [the] effort, knowing that you met someone na gagawin ang lahat para lang sa chika,” Evangelista added.
