PAGASA Says 3 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that three weather systems will bring light rains over parts of the country.
On Friday (March 15, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line, Amihan, and easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that the shear line, northeast monsoon, and easterlies will bring Cloudy skies, rain showers, light rains, and thunderstorms that may be experienced in some parts of Luzon.
“Patuloy pa rin po ang epekto ng tatlong weather systems sa ating bansa, una na po diyan ang amihan na siyang nakakaapekto pa rin po dito sa malaking bahagi ng Northern at Central Luzon, habang ang easterlies ay siyang nagdadala pa rin po ng mainit na panahon sa southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao,” Estareja said.
The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte.
“Yung ating shearline meron pa ring epekto dito sa sa bahagi po ng central and southern Luzon ngunit inaasahan na mawawala rin pagdating ng hapon,” he added.
However, possible flash floods and landslides are expected due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes and Cagayan.
The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Amihan will bring similar weather conditions over Ilocos, Cordillera, and the rest of Central Luzon and Cagayan regions.
The weather agency also warned the residents in the affected areas for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the northern and eastern sections of the country will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
