“We went here to see the school of jacks but someone stole the spotlight

This was my first ever encounter with a whale shark (u could tell by all the screaming) and I never expected it to be here in Mabini, Batangas!!

Definitely one for the books!!”

The social media users expressed their reactions to the post:

The whale shark is the largest fish in the world, known scientifically as Rhincodon typus. Despite its massive size, it is a filter-feeding shark, meaning it primarily feeds on plankton and small fish by filtering them through its gills as it swims.

These gentle giants can grow up to lengths of around 12 meters (40 feet) or more and can weigh several tons.
