Kiko Pangilinan takes legal action against false statements against him and his family
Former Senator Kiko Pangilinan filed cybercrime charges against Bungangera TV YouTube channel.
Pangilinan is not new when it comes to intrigues and controversies as he has been in the political arena for many years. Being the husband of Megastar Sharon Cuneta, he would also be entangled in showbiz intrigues once in a while.
The couple went through intrigues last year. Their relationship was under fire and even their relationship with their kids became a topic on social media. To recall, the Megastar admitted that she and her husband broke up for a while but they got back together.
Kiko Pangilinan cried foul to the false statement about him and Sharon Cuneta. In his recent series of posts on X, formerly Twitter, he shared that he officially started the legal battle against Bungangera TV YT channel for maligning his reputation as a public servant and as the husband of the Megastar.
The former Senator also stressed that the said YT channel, just to gain subscribers and views, intentionally created false stories about him and his family. “Gumagawa ito ng malaswang kwento para dumami ang viewers at kumita,” he said.
Pangilinan said that all the thumbnails, titles, and contents of Bungangera TV’s posts about him and his family were not true and were intended to destroy his image.
“The libelous videos that contain public and malicious imputations are also meant to destroy my family and damage my relationship with my wife and children,” the former Senator said.
He also said that they asked for assistance from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Cybercrime Division to preserve the videos and related data of the said YT channel, as well as, to “collect computer data relative to the videos of the said channel, including the identity of the owner/s, author/s, and person/s responsible for the creation and management of Bungangera TV, and the subject videos posted therein.”
To gain more subscribers, this channel spread outrageous, concocted falsehoods against me and my family. Gumagawa ito ng malaswang kwento para dumami ang viewers at kumita.
