Kapuso actor-host Alden Richards was emotional in a message for Jaclyn Jose and remembered this story about her.
Christopher de Leon, Sandy Andolong, Lorna Tolentino, Tirso Cruz III, Alden Richards, Amy Austria, Ivana Alawi, Sylvia Sanchez, Isabel Rivas, director Adolfo Alix Jr., Allen Dizon, Jake Ejercito, and Claudine Barretto were among the celebrities present during the first night of Jaclyn Jose.
Jaclyn’s death happened suddenly. She died of heart attack and many were saddened because of her sudden passing.
Among those who paid tribute to the late actress was Alden Richards. They were very close and have this mother-and-son relationship. This is the reason why in Alden’s tribute for Jaclyn, he said that the pain he felt was like that of losing a real mother.
During the wake, when he was given the opportunity to talk about the late actress, he recalled the time when he received a negative comment from her. In the video that circulated online, he expressed that he is not prepared in the speech which shows how unready he is of losing “Tita Jane”.
According to him, the first time he worked with her was in Mundo Mo’y Akin, a television series shown in 2013. In this series, his role is the person who chases her granddaughter. He expressed, “So, nakatikim po ako ng mga lait in terms of scenes kay Tita Jane.”
She was not impressed with his talent but that opportunity also led their closeness. He found out that before someone could enter his life, this person must first go through a “screening” and he is glad that he did.
They became close and the late actress was even calling him “bunso”. Her death made him lose someone special.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, he reiterated, “Mahirap. It’s very difficult to— para kong nanay yan. e. That’s why na yun po ang inilagay ko sa post ko na my heart aches like a son who lost his mom because that’s how I feel. Parang the same feeling when I lost my mom. Same feeling now.”
