Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla dives into restaurant business by being a co-owner of Spice Grill in Dubai, a Filipino-owned restaurant.
Risking is always a part of doing business. Through risk, we get to determine the results of our hard work. Whether the risk fails or not, the most important part is the lessons learned which you will be taking with you in your next risk so as not to commit the same mistake.
Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla seemed to have elevated his game as he has risked investing in a restaurant based in Dubai. Expanding his portfolio in business, he partnered with Spice Grill in Dubai, a Filipino-owned restaurant.
A branch was just recently opened in Al Ghurair Centre, Deira in the middle of the Flayva food hall. He co-owns this restaurant with Lourds Adalia-Evertse who believed that “partnership propels to new heights”.
This restaurant is well-known for its unique dining experience wherein the dishes are served in a Filipino ‘boodle fight’ style.
“This place has changed a lot and it’s really impressive. I’ve always loved coming to Dubai, and I have envisioned myself starting a business here. The entire city is built around endless possibilities and the idea that anything you can imagine can be done,” Padilla tells The National.
The first Spice Grill was opened in 2020 and it joined the growing Filipino restaurants in Flayva food hall such as Salvis Junior, Bacolod Inasal BBQ, and Chibog Restaurant.
This opportunity was a no brainer for Padilla as it was an opportunity to be with a brand that aligns his values and principles. This business venture marks his first in Dubai.
Meanwhile, Padilla became the subject of scrutiny and bashing previously because of the KathNiel split. After 11 years, his relationship with Kathryn Bernardo ended and there were speculations that he cheated on her.
