This was what allegedly happened when Xian Lim initiated the breakup with Kim Chiu
A source revealed that this is how the breakup happened between Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu and Kapuso actor Xian Lim.
Kim and Xian’s breakup ringed the showbiz industry late last year. They were the last couple who confirmed their breakup in 2023. This somehow broke KimXi fans who had been supporting them together and separately because they had been together for 12 years.
The former couple did not reveal the reason for their breakup. That was apparently the reason why several speculations surfaced surrounding their separation.
One of the recent speculations that surfaced was that the breakup was initiated by Xian Lim. In a recent episode of talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz’s Showbiz Update vlog, they talked about the KimXi breakup.
Ogie shared that a source told him that the breakup happened out of the blue. It was said that the actor asked the actress to cook his favorite steak and so the latter obliged. While they were eating, the source claimed that Xian said that they should just break up because Kim’s family and some of her friends were against their relationship.
“Nakarating sa atin kung paano sila nag-split… puwede naman itong i-deny ni Kim Chiu or ni Xian Lim… na isang araw daw, itong si Xian Lim ay nag-request kay Kim Chiu na ipagluto siya ng paborito niyang steak. So ito namang si Kim Chiu, eh excited na nagluto ng steak… so no’ng kinakain na nila ‘yong steak, hanggang sa, dumayalog si Xian Lim, ang sabi ‘Tapusin na natin ‘yong ating relasyon. Parang wala rin namang patutunguhan. Parang ayaw rin naman sa akin ng family mo, at ng iba mong friends,’” Ogie shared.
To recall, back in December, after they confirmed their breakup, rumors surfaced that Kim’s family dislikes Xian.
As of this writing, Kim and Xian haven’t reacted yet to this speculation about their breakup. Currently, the actor is being linked to film producer Iris Lee. They have been spotted together several times.
In an interview last January, Kim shared that she is ready to fall in love again. She is now being linked to her What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim? leading man Paulo Avelino.
