Ben&Ben will be sharing the stage with Ed Sheeran for his concert in the Philippines.
One of the world’s best-selling music artists, Ed Sheeran will be holding a Manila concert and Ben&Ben is one of his special guests.
The nine-piece Filipino indie folk-pop band, Ben&Ben, is going to have a special performance at Ed Sheeran’s concert in Manila which will be happening in March. They were tapped as a special guest for Sheeran’s ‘+ – = á x’ or Mathematics Tour stop.
The concert will be happening on March 9 at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Paraùaque City.
It might or might not be a coincidence but the SMDC Festival Grounds was the place where Ben&Ben’s Homecoming Concert last 2022 attended by 65,000 fans was held.
“Ma, special guest na kami ni Ed Sheeran sa concert niya (crying emoji) parang dati lang, nagcocover lang kami ng âperfectâ sa Youtube. Never in our wildest dreams did we think this could happen. Surreal,” the band wrote in the caption of their post.
Ben&Ben is composed of Miguel Benjamin and Paolo Benjamin on acoustic guitars and vocals, Poch Barretto on electric guitar, Keifer Cabugao on violin, Andrew De Pano and Toni Munoz on percussion, Pat Lasaten on keyboards, Agnes Reoma on bass, and Jam Villanueva on drums.
“Leaves,” “Make It With You,” “Panindigan Kita,” “Maybe The Night,” “To The Ones We Once Loved,” and “Pagtingin” are some of their famous songs. They are the most streamed OPM group and Spotify Philippines’ most streamed local artist for the year 2023. They were able to achieve 371 million streams and 15 million listeners in 184 countries.
Meanwhile, the ticket for Sheeran’s concert range from Php 3,000.00 for CAT7 standing to Php 20,500.00 for CAT1 reserved seating sections.
“Thinking Out Loud,” “The A Team,” “Shape of You,” “Give Me Love,” “Photograph,” “Perfect,” “Castle on a Hill,” “Galway Girl,” “Sing,” “Afterglow,” “Bad Habits,” and “Shivers” are some of the songs of the Hollywood singer. Â
