Actress and singer Janella Salvador remains a Kapamilya and during the event, she shared something about her “tampo” way back then.
The Kapamilya actress who has been with ABS-CBN since 2012 is Janella Salvador. She debuted on “Be Careful With My Heart” and since then, appeared in many projects and films with Valentina/Regina Vanguardia on “Darna” as the last one she did before this event.
Recently, she signed a new contract with the network that she loves. It was graced by ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, chairman Mark Lopez, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, CFO Rick Tan, Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, and her manager, Manny Valera.
She started in ABS-CBN at the age of 12 and in an emotional speech she recalled how her journey in the network did not become a smooth one.
From when the pandemic when they both had reasons to let go of each other to the time she got pregnant. It wasn’t a smooth sailing journey but here she is now, still loyal to the network that first believed in her.
“We’re still here, I stood up for you, and you stood up for me, and I’m very, very thankful for that. Thank you for standing up for me,” she expressed.
In the same speech, she talked about the “tampuhan”, her resentment which stemmed for not being included in a Star Magic catalog cover. To recall, in 2023, she left people abuzz when she posted something intriguing after the cover has been revealed.
Many people questioned why she was not in the cover but inside it, a spread was dedicated for her.
About this “tampuhan”, she did not deny it but she shared how it was resolved between her and Director Lauren Dyogi. According to her narration, it was during ASAP Milan when in September 2023. The director talked to her and assured her that she got a father in him with whom she can talk to about anything.
“He told me that I can talk to him anytime and that he wants me to know that I have a father in him so I can really speak to him anytime. And at this point, I was crying coz I realized that I actually don’t know how to navigate that kind of relationship. And that’s something that I will improve on,” she expressed with honesty.
