Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza shares the funny reasons why she was not accepted in these famous projects of Marian Rivera.
“Hindi ko rin sure bakit ako nag-audition!”
Rejection is an inevitable part of life. There are people and opportunities that may come in our life but not meant to stay with us and for us to enjoy. Its disappointing, maddening, and saddening. It will make us question why it was shown to us but not given to us. However, in reality, rejection can be the best teacher.
Rejection can teach us invaluable life lessons, help shape our character, and contribute to our growth as individuals. For Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza, the rejections she went through hit her differently when she recalled them in her latest interview with Boy Abunda.
During an interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, she recalled the time when she auditioned to do the young Marian Rivera in Marimar, Dyesebel, and Darna. These are the three of the biggest projects the Kapuso Primetime Queen has done.
In all of her auditions here, she was rejected which she explained in the interview.
According to her, different reasons led to her not getting the roles. In Marimar, she was not accepted because because of Fulgoso, Marimar’s dog best friend in the series. She fears dogs and as much as we all know, Fulgoso is an important character in the series.
Secondly, for Dyesebel, the one thing that hindered her from starring in this well-loved series is because she doesn’t know how to swim. Dyesebel is a famous mermaid character and being a good swimmer is an essential skill to portray the role effectively.
Lastly, Barbie did not become the young Darna as she is afraid of heights. She expressed, “Nung Darna naman po, takot naman po ako sa heights. Hindi naman pwedeng lumipad. Hindi ko rin sure bakit ako nag-audition!”
Despite these rejections, has managed to rise above her fears and she was able to bag iconic roles of her own. She has proven herself worthy to be an actress with stellar performances she provides her fans in every project she gets.
