POKWANG – Actress and host Marietta Tan Subong a.k.a. Pokwang just shared words of wisdom for those facing heartbreaks and breakups.
Pokwang has shared words of wisdom to people going through heartbreaks and breakups, emphasizing that the end of a relationship can be painful but serves as an indication that someone isn’t destined for you.
Commenting on the recent series of breakups affecting showbiz, Pokwang described breakups as a heartbreaking “part of life,” serving as a poignant reminder within relationships, as depicted in a TikTok video shared by showbiz vlogger StarsPhotog.
Pokwang said, “Gan’un talaga. Gan’un talaga ang buhay. Kapag may nakalaan sa’yo na tamang tao at [hindi mo pa panahon], masasaktan at masasaktan ka para kapag dumating na ‘yung tamang tao, buo ka na.”
During a reflective moment, Pokie expressed that experiencing a breakup is undeniably painful, yet she wishes that individuals would eventually find the positive side when the moment arrives.
“Kung alam mo lang, masakit talaga. May mga gabing hindi ako makatulog, pero iniisip ko na lang na hindi siya ‘yung tamang guy. Meron talagang nakalaan sa’yo, dadating at dadating ‘yun. ‘Yung pain, hayaan mo lang ‘yan,” the comedian said without disclosing anyone in particular.

Pokwang recently went through a breakup with American actor Lee O’Brian in December 2021, although she officially announced the separation only in July of the following year.
Following the breakup, she has been engaged in a verbal dispute with the father of her youngest daughter, reaching the extent of requesting his deportation in December 2023 for allegedly violating his work visa. It was later reported that O’Brian filed for voluntary deportation on January 10.
