Minors Should Not Be Brought to Lodging Houses on Valentine’s Day, TFVMF Says
HEARTS DAY – TFVMF reminded the taxi drivers not to bring minors to lodging houses on Valentine’s Day.
Every year on February 14th, Valentine’s Day is a special occasion honoring romance, love, and affection. It’s a time when people worldwide show their love and gratitude for their friends, family, partners, and even pets.
Traditional practices include exchanging greeting cards, flowers, chocolates, and other tokens of affection. Many people also plan romantic dinners, movie dates, or special outings with their loved ones.
Recently, the Task Force on Morals and Value Formation (TFVMF) provides an important reminder for taxi drivers during the upcoming Valentine’s season. The agency urged the taxi driver to avoid bringing minor passengers to motels or lodging houses.
The TFVMF recently visited the offices and garages of owners and managers operating taxi services in Iloilo to discuss laws and ordinances protecting minors.
The agency aims to gain the cooperation of drivers to be vigilant and not to take minors to prohibited places as passengers, especially during Valentine’s Day. The measure aims to prevent youth from becoming victims of individuals with malicious intentions involving indecent activities.
Couples are known to flock to lodging houses, hotels, and motels around Valentine’s Day.
The TFVMF points out the necessity of protecting minors and ensuring their safety, particularly on Valentine’s Day, when there are more events involving love couples.
The task force encourages taxi drivers to be responsible and follow rules and regulations that protect the safety of kids. They help to create a safer atmosphere for young people in the community.
Parents and guardians are also encouraged to educate minors about the dangers of engaging in activities that may compromise their safety and well-being.
