The KathNiel split rocked the who entertainment industry. After 11 years of being together, celebrities Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla decided to disband as a love team and real-life couple.

It’s indeed saddening to see these two people break apart from a pair who used to be so in love with each other.

“He was my person. I will always have love for him,” said Kathryn in her post as she was the first one to issue a statement that ended the rumors that have been circulating online for months. Throughout their relationship, it seemed like we were with them as they brought us along with them in their adventures as actors, as a love team, and as a couple in real life.

From this split, what did the actress learned?

In an interview with MJ Felipe, she shared her learnings and one of them is the value of self-love. She quipped, “Love yourself. Know when to walk away, know when to stay. Dapat alam mo ‘yung value mo.”

This is a lesson that some of us have learned the hard way. It may be the end of an era with KathNiel but there comes the opportunity to grow and realize the lessons to be learned in this event – although it’s an event that many hoped to never happen.

In their split, us, the witnesses of their love story, also learned several from their story. Among those are being our own person, take charge of our life, love is going to stay, and that despite a painful ending, respecting each other is still the most important.

As for the others, they learned that the only way to keep a man is if he genuinely desires to be kept. People come and go, and that’s okay. Life goes on.

During the same interview, the actress also shared what she learned from her bosses. According to her bosses, one can never go wrong in being kind. She shared, “Walang masama kung maging mabuti ka. If you do something good, babalik sa’yo ‘yun. If you do something bad, babalik sa’yo ‘yun. Nasa sa’yo anong gagawin mo.”
