The easterlies are warm winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean, bringing hot and humid weather.

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Davao Region, Caraga, and SOCCSKSARGEN.

The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.

The weather bureau reported that eight of the nine dams in Luzon are reported to be continuously slipping below their respective normal high water levels.

Most of Metro Manila’s water supply comes from Bulacan’s Angat Dam, which now stands at 210.08 meters (m), 0.25 meters (m) below its typical high water level of 212 meters.

The water level at Angat Dam first dropped below 212 meters on January 26 and has continued to do so ever since.
