Will Toni Gonzaga have her PBB comeback?
Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga has this answer when asked if she will return to hosting Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother.
Toni was one of the pioneer hosts of the popular TV show. However, in 2022, the actress-host said goodbye to this stint as she announced her resignation as the main host. Her decision received different reactions. Toni received support from her former co-host Mariel Padilla and other celebrities. Bianca Gonzalez who is still hosting the show also shared a message for Toni.
With this, a new set of hosts were introduced led by Bianca. Former PBB housemates Robi Domingo, Kim Chiu, Enchong Dee, and Melai Cantiveros are now part of the hosting team of the reality show.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Balita, Toni Gonzaga was asked if she would return as PBB’s host. She said that the new hosts are good.
“Ay… feeling ko, ano, may mga bagong magagaling na hosts and it’s their time to shine,” she said. She added that after almost two decades, her hosting stint in PBB will always be in her heart.
“Parang feeling ko the 16 years that I gave… I’ve given sa PBB parang ano na ‘yon, that was special and memorable in my heart, pero sobrang gagaling na ngayon ng mga host ng PBB and I’m sure they will continue the legacy ni Kuya,” the actress-host said.
She also reacted to people’s perception that when it is said PBB it is already associated with her. “Eh siyempre medyo 16 years siyang naging bahagi ng buhay ko so, part na rin ‘yon ng aking pagkatao,” she said.
Meanwhile, Toni Gonzaga returned to the big screen with her movie My Sassy Girl with Pepe Herrera. With this project, fans said that she reclaimed her rom-com queen title. The actress-host took a break for a while when she got pregnant. She and her husband Paul Soriano welcomed their daughter last August 2023.
