Kathryn Newton shared what it was working with Liza Soberano
Actress Liza Soberano received these comments from Hollywood actress Kathryn Newton after they worked together in the movie Lisa Frankenstein.
Liza started pursuing a career in Hollywood in 2022 after she left her former manager Ogie Diaz. Her first international project is the said comedy-horror movie written by Diablo Cody and directed by Zelda Williams.
After almost a year of anticipation, the movie is set to be released this February. In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Kathryn shared her experience working with Liza.
The Hollywood actress was obviously fond of the Pinay actress. “I love Liza. She’s just a gift to the world, this girl. She’s the sweetest girl I’ve ever met in my whole life and there is nobody that could play this role except her because she’s such a sweet human,” Kathryn Newton said about Liza Soberano.
Kathryn also highlighted Liza’s professionalism when it comes to portraying her role Taffy in the movie. She said that the character of Taffy is “like a sideways human kind of sweet, kind of terrible.”
However, Kathryn said that there is nothing perfect and sweet about the Pinay actress. She added that she learned a lot from working with Liza because of her professionalism.
“She’s like blowing me cold out of the water. This girl cries on command, she is funny on command and she’s always perfect so working with her is so much fun,” the Hollywood actress said.
Liza Soberano was personally encouraged by film director Zelda Williams to audition for this project. She said that her character Taffy has a complex connection with the lead character Lisa. In the movie, Taffy and Lisa’s side story will be featured, including the emotional touch of having step-siblings.
