What will Carla Abellana do if she crosses paths with her ex-husband?
Kapuso actress Carla Abellana has this statement when asked about meeting Tom Rodriguez who is now in the Philippines.
GMA stars Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez were married for only three months before they called it quits. The real reason was not disclosed but the actress has expressed before that she has already moved on.
The marriage was swift, hence, the shock of many when they separated.
Since the real reason has not been disclosed, people started to make assumptions and speculations. There were rumors about Tom’s “gender” was the issue but others speculated that the separation involved money issues.
The actor stayed in the US for two years after their separation and now, he is back in the Philippines. In a recent interview, the actress expressed that she doesn’t know about his return actually. However, she doesn’t see any reason to feel anything may it be intimidation, scared, or nervous.
Crossing paths with him is inevitable and expected. She knew this and had thought about it many times. But whatever happens, she is ready to meet him. She is open and she knows that it can happen because they are working under the same network.
“I think naman okay lang. Ready naman ako. Hindi naman ako yung type na ‘Ay ayoko,’ or avoidance or what. It’s inevitable, ika nga,” she said as she is not the type to avoid.
She is now in a peaceful place. She finally found her peace and has already moved on from the separation. She is happy where she is and who he is today.
Being friends with Tom
She expressed no definite answer but she is leaving her doors open to possibilities. She is aware that at present times, nothing is impossible already and that things you have never expected is still possible to happen.
The actress, “Kumbaga, sa buhay po, napakadami pong kaganapan na unpredictable. So, ayoko pong… kumbaga, tuldukan o maging definite sa anumang bagay. So, anything can happen.”
Meanwhile, the actress just renewed her contract.
