In an interview, Janno Gibbs reveals something about the note of his late father.
Actor-singer Janno Gibbs shares why he took down the “goodbye” note his father Ronaldo Valdez shared on Facebook.
At the age of 76, veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez passed away and it is reported that his death is due to self-harm. His death was saddening and disheartening and left the whole entertainment industry in shock, pain, and grieving.
The uploader of Ronaldo’s video might face criminal charges and five cops involved in the case will face administrative charges. Dismissal from their service is the possible maximum penalty.
Last January 15, singer-actor Janno Gibbs held a press conference. He aired his dismay and disappointment as to how the case of his late father has been mishandled. He slammed the Philippine National Police (PNP) and demanded a public apology over the leaked video.
“Goodbye” note
Recently, in a tell-all interview with Karen Davila, there was a part where Gibbs talked about the “goodbye” note his father posted before he died. It was morbid that he needed to take it down upon having his phone.
According to him, they learned about the note when they were already in the hospital and the note said:
“Life is not fun anymore. Goodbye.”
“When I got hold of his phone, I deleted it kasi hindi maganda. Hindi maganda,” he said. The late actor posted it on Facebook and it was too morbid. He even furthered that they didn’t know it was going to happen as there were no signs or hints.
Janno also shared that after the holidays, he is supposed to undergo an operation in his cervical area as movements of his right leg got affected. Days before that day, the condition accordingly git worse.
He thinks it triggered the negative emotions that led him to do it as he is someone who is physically active. He shared, “Siguro it was getting worse, parang hindi na niya ma-enjoy. Hindi siya yung type na would sit still and stay home.”
