Pageant enthusiasts are thrilled as Ahtisa Manalo joins this year’s Miss Universe Philippines pageant.
After a five-year break, Ahtisa Manalo is returning to pageantry as she joins the Miss Universe Philippines 2024.
Bb. Pilipinas International 2018 Ma. Ahtisa Manalo thrilled may fans as she confirmed in an Instagram post that she is returning to the pageant scene. She is breaking her five-year break by joining this year’s Miss Universe Philippines pageant which thrilled many in fans.
In an Instagram post, she announced that she’s been appointed as Miss Universe Philippines Quezon Province.
The confirmation from the beauty queen came more than a week after Quezon Province teased the identity of their representative. In the teaser, she was described as a “woman of substance, known for her unique qualities and exceptional capabilities” and “authentic embodiment of a young and empowered Filipina”.
Her character is full of grace, intelligence, and grit and has this beauty that is “tender yet powerful”.
In her post, the beauty queen shared a video of the announcement with the hashtag #AHTISAPA. She received her official sash in a special ceremony organized by the province.
She finally addressed the clamor of many fans about her joining this prestigious pageant.
She believes that she is stronger now to handle more things in a better way. Being an entrepreneur also helped her make use of her skills and allowed her to see the potential of this pageant. When she joined BBP 18, she yearned to get the MU crown but she received a different thing. Despite the result, she was still happy.
Ahtisa added, “And I thought then I wouldn’t have the chance to do it na. But now, given that chance again to pursue that dream, so now, I am doing it.”
To recall, Manalo represented the country at the Miss International pageant in 2018, where she won first runner-up. In 2020, she also applied, however, she later on withdrew her application due to health reasons.
She has this dream of competing in Miss Universe someday.
