The DOST has several scholarships offers for undgraduate studies. Most of the offers prioritize courses in the fields of Math and Science.
Undeniably, the DOST scholarship is also known for their huge benefits and cash allowances for the scholars. The undergraduate studies scholarships are open for students who meet the following qualifications:
- natural-born Filipino citizen
- graduating Grade 12 male and female students in SY 2023-2024
- STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
- NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the class based on Grade 11 ranking
- graduate of Grade 12 before SY 2023-2024 and did not enroll in college yet
- STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
- NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the graduating class
- graduate of high school before the K-12 Program. Must belong to the top 5% of the graduating class
- of good moral character and in good health
- has not earned any college units
- do not have any post-high school vocational units
- has not applied for a DOST-SEI scholarship before, has applied for a DOST-SEI scholarship before but did not qualify for the scholarship, or has qualified for the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship but did not avail of the award
Every year, the DOST opens the scholarship application for students who wish to take their chances to pursue their studies in a less financially-struggling way. The state-run entity has set a list of DOST Scholarship requirements that must be submitted for application.
