Ian Veneracion Camp Releases Statement On ‘P500K TF’ Issue

Actor Ian Veneracion was under fire following the post that director Ronaldo Carballo shared and his management clarified this.

Carballo claimed that the actor’s road manager asked for a hefty amount of money (P500,000) as a talent fee for his 2-hour parade appearance at the Tarlac Festival and an additional payment for every year. This was aside from the alleged demand that the actor wanted to have a float only assigned for him.

In a follow-up post, Carballo said that Ian’s camp, as well as the organizers of the Tarlac Festival, asked him to take down his post. However, the director said that he would not do that because he stands by what he said.

In an article in Bandera, it was said that Ian Veneracion’s management released a statement. The actor’s camp is planning to bring this issue to a legal discourse. “Considering these developments, we are exploring legal options to address the online defamation by Mr. Carballo,” Ian’s camp said.

They also debunked Carballo’s claim that the actor was asking for an additional P100,000 every hour, as well as, the solo float. “For this particular event, our communication was with a friend of the coordinator, adding multiple layers to the negotiation process. This is not the typical direct line of communication we usually have with clients or their immediate representatives,” the actor’s management explained.

Ian’s camp also stressed that they attempted several times to contact Ronaldo Carballo to clarify this issue but he blocked them.

Ian’s management also stressed that the negotiations in rate should be done properly. They also stressed that the artist’s rate depends on many factors like “experience, expertise, and market standards.”

The camp of Ian Veneracion laments the “attempts to undervalue the professional’s worth through lowballing.” They added that rate negotiations should be discussed with fairness and respect.
