Director Darryl Yap revealed that the sports car owned by actor Daniel Padilla was already sold back in 2016.
Following the issues surrounding the breakup between Daniel and Kathryn Bernardo, speculations surfaced that the actor is having financial challenges. In a recent episode of Pinoy Pawnstar of Boss Toyo, a car dealer wanted to sell a sports car he bought from the Kapamilya.
It was a Chevrolet Corvette C7. The car dealer brought all the papers that proved that it was previously owned by the actor. However, Boss Toyo did not buy it.
After Daniel Padilla’s sports car, write-ups surfaced that he was selling his house. The speculations about his financial status were even hyped up by the rumors that he lost four endorsement projects because of the issues surrounding his breakup with Kathryn.
A few days later, F2A Cars announced on Facebook that Daniel’s sports car now has a new owner. It was bought by “Tito Paldo” from Angeles City with a price tag of P6.5 million pesos.
Amid this issue, director Darryl Yap shared on his Facebook Page that that sports car was already sold years ago. It was not stated by the car dealer when he bought the car from the actor.
“Yang sports car ni Daniel, 2016 pa nya nabenta—alam ko yan kasi napakarami kong kaibigang nagbabuy and sell, as a car enthusiast myself, nasa isang circle lang yan,” the director said in his post featuring a screenshot of a post from a news outlet about this.
Direk Darryl also slammed the issues that surfaced because of this sports car that Daniel previously owned. “Kung makagawa kayo ng issue na ibinenta dahil naghihirap and all. 2015 model yan, 2016 nabenta!” he said.
The director also stressed that if you people want to sell, honesty should be included. “Mamaya hinahanap pa ng buyer yung amoy ni Daniel, eh 8 years ago na yan,” he added.
