2023 has ended and Catherine Camilon has not been found yet but here’s a progress on the case.
In the latest progress of the Catherine Camilon case, the personal driver of the cop prime suspect surrenders to the authorities.
The disappearance of beauty queen Catherine Camilon is 2023’s greatest mystery. She joined Miss Grand Philippines 2023 representing her province Batangas. It remained mysterious as proof of her disappearance seems evasive.
However, as the investigation goes further, some witnesses emerged claiming that a bloodied Catherine was being transferred from her car to another.
A policeman was tagged in the disappearance of the beauty queen. In December 2023, the prime suspect skipped the preliminary investigation of the kidnapping and illegal detention complaints against him. The cop considered as the prime suspect is PMaj. Alan De Castro.
The next hearing is set on January 9 and on this day, the personal driver of the cop tagged in this case surfaced. Jeffrey Magpantay reportedly surrendered on January 9 at 11 in the morning.
The two witnesses who claimed to see the body of Camilon being transferred also claimed that it was Magpantay who threatened them and pointed a gun at them that night.
Magpantay is the personal driver of P/Major Alan De Castro, the prime suspect of
Camilon’s vanishing.
Meanwhile, the family of the beauty, despite the length of time that has already passed, is still hopeful that she will come back to them alive. To recall, the beauty queen was reported to be missing since October 2023.
Her mother posted this on Facebook: “Anak miss na miss kn nmin. mahal na mahal ka nmin. lagi kong dalangin sa ating mahal na Panginoon na ikaw eh mkasama na ulit nmin.”
This is not the first time that her mother has been vocal about her hope to have her daughter back well and alive.
