Witnesses who saw Catherine Camilon surfaced
Beauty queen Catherine Camilon was seen bloodied by two witnesses and was being transferred from her car to another.
Catherine was last seen by her loved ones on October 12. She was caught on CCTV on the night of the said date walking inside a mall in Batangas. Police have already identified the first person of interest who is also a cop and reportedly the boyfriend of the beauty queen.
Days after Catherine’s disappearance, authorities believed that she is still alive. Just recently, the Philippine National Police (PNP) stated that there is significant progress in this case.
The latest news about Catherine Camilon’s disappearance was reported by GMA News. Based on the report, two witnesses surfaced and said that they saw the beauty queen bloodied as she was being transferred from her car to the other.
Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Director Major General Romeo Caramat Jr. said, “Umiihi du’n sa lugar, nakita n’ung suspect natin, lumapit sa kanila, at tinutukan sila ng baril.”
Before the witnesses saw the person of interest, they saw the bloodied beauty queen being transferred by three men from her car to another vehicle. It was said that the gunman was the personal driver of the other person of interest.
“Through the rogue’s gallery of the CIDG, they positively identified and they were very certain about it,” Caramat stated.
One of the possible motives that the CIDG is looking at right now is the love angle. Previously, it was stated by the authorities that they were looking for more proof to solidify the information against the person of interest.
Catherine Camilon was one of the official candidates for Miss Grand Philippines 2023. Kapuso actress and beauty queen Herlene Budol, who also joined the said pageant, expressed a heartfelt message for Catherine.
